My painting education started early at the Cranbrook Academy of Art near Detroit Michigan.  I was 4 and it involved lots of brightly colored Tempera.  While I pursued a different career path, I continued to paint as a hobby and took classes at the University of Minnesota and MCAD.   More recently I have been studying at the White Bear Center for the Arts with a focus on watercolors.  I love the fluidity of watercolors and the "accidental" colors that can evolve.  I am learning to create new stories with my paintings.
